LEARNING TO FLY

The students from the Royal Conservatory of dance of Cádiz show their opening night in middle june after a year of rehearsals and hard work. This proyect show their diary work in the training period and the day when all their everyday efforts become a real show. Sweat, emotions, nerves… and the moments before a wish came true.

    Just so i dont sound negative, i praise this story. It might not be National geographic quality but at least there is a concept and it tells the story so beautifully with so much passion

    Muy bien, Rafa… es un trabajo de un naturalismo muy bueno, captas expresiones y momentos intensos, en unos se percibe la fugacidad de la vida, en otros la total ausencia de ella misma, la paz reina… 4, 7, 8, 17 y 21 me encantan por su autenticidad, y claro todas las otras estan muy buenas. Continua!

    In my opinion, this is truly great work of incredible artistic value. Rafael has beautifully captured a glimpse in the lives of ordinary people in an ordinary setting animated by human hopes and dreams with the natural skills of a professional. I believe we have a winner!

    No las había visto hasta el momento pero me encantan. Un fotógrafo se debe IMPLICAR en lo que hace, y cada una de las fotos demuestra que seguiste la historia de principio a fin. Mucho trabajo detrás, resumiendo lo efímero de todo en la 21 (la que más me gusta, sin duda). Enhorabuena.

    Didn´t see the pictures until now, and must say i love them. A photographer must INVOLVE in what he is doing, and each and every image proves you followed the story from the beggining till the end. A lot of work behind that is resumed in the ephemeral of nr. 21 (the one I like the most, by far). Well done.

    I am so saddened by the apparent trend in our industry. It seems that to be “good” or important,the photos must be taken in Iraq, or Africa or Afghanistan. Your subjects must be children holding machine guns or druggies with needles sticking out of their arms or poor souls laying in a puddles of waste or damage and despair. It is refreshing to see a digression from this norm. Great pictures can occur at any time anywhere and can be happy and inspiring.
