Packages

by Tim Johannis

For this project I’ve made compositions of transparent plastic packaging. When we buy something we usually don’t examine the packaging. This made me think about perception and how it creates our reality. We choose for what we see consciously and what we don’t see. By taking pictures of packagings I want to make the viewer aware of something they usually don’t pay attention to. By removing context and reference I want to surprise the viewer and make them look at it in a new way. The packaging becomes a shape within it’s own context.
