CITY OUTLAWS

by Natascha Sturny

Pushed at the edge of society, Roma communities in Italy. Exposed to governmental stupidities and violent attacks from civilians - there is little hope for change. Adults sometimes get the possibility to work on the black market, end of day salary not guaranteed. Children have hardly access to schools, let alone access to health care. Sometimes there is electricity in the camps, sometimes there isn’t. The same goes for water supplies. Instead the camps get “flooded” with rubbish from the city. Welcome to the other side of EUROPE.
