I traveled through the coastal towns of the Costa Brava, in the Spanish Mediterranean. I began photographing in a painterly, dreamlike style and found that those same towns were where the impressionists came down to paint from Northern Europe. Upon returning to the States, I immersed myself photographing for this project which I entitled, Dreamscapes. These photographs were taken along the coasts of Santa Monica and Venice beaches in California. I want to put in perspective, the power and infinite expanse of the sand,sea and sky and the part we humans play in this story….I photographed these six images with this concept in mind.
