ROAD GRAVES

by Matt Fowler

Within a 15 minute journey from my house there are a multitude of shrines to friends, sons, daughters who have died as a result of accidents on our rural roads.

At once tragic and beautiful this relatively new phenomenon show us an incredibly personal view into one persons brief life and the way they are celebrated.

The usual array of flowers eventually gives way to the more personal - the football strip, the teddy bear, even beer cans. Each memorial a testament to a family’s love
