I began this work as a response to the recent media campaign on gun and knife crime in London, which I felt was fueling fear on the streets more than anything else. I decided to find the people that these journalists were writing about and offer them a voice of their own. The result is a glimpse into the minds of many, tagged by the same negative connotations.
