A Portrait of America Left Behind

by Brandon Schulman

A photographic study of the American landscape and the impact that humanity plays on it. It is a series covering the multitude of different places over this massive country; even though they are all different there seems to be a common thread. This series covers over 15,000 miles and 2 months in the field. Shot 4x5 mostly on the top of my camper where I also sleep. All images are scans from C-Prints printed in my home. Thank you

Most of your pictures are simply amazing. I love the absence of human beings, the mood that the pictures generate and the stunning quality of the large-format. Respect and good luck.

Best work on the site. Not derivative which is always a hazard with well known material. Keep it up. Mat
